About Us

Lancing Tabernacle, more commonly known as ‘Lancing Tab’, is an evangelical church.
Evangelical means that we are interested in sharing the good news of Jesus with our community. We identify with the wider Christian community in the UK through membership of the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches and The Evangelical Alliance. We have a wide age range and on Sunday mornings make provision for babies through to teenagers. There is something happening almost every day here at the Tab, including Friends Unlimited on Mondays (where it is possible to drop in for a coffee, chat and lunch), a toddler group on Wednesday mornings and a Widows Support Group every other Friday. There are also a wide range of activities on Wednesday and Friday Evenings for young children through to teenagers. The Tab family has been meeting in Lancing in some shape or form for more than 80 years now. The work started in 1927 through the creative faith of Louise Wilson, the work actively continues today. We have occupied three buildings - from a cottage on the Lower Brighton Road, to the building in North Road where we now meet. The common link is the people; people who have a living relationship with Jesus, and want to make the good news of Jesus known in this village and beyond.
